Eureka Valley - Highway K-18 Corridor Plan
The Eureka Valley-K-18 Corridor Plan (pdf) addresses anticipated growth of the Eureka Valley resulting from the realignment of Kansas Highway 18 and the expansion of Manhattan Regional Airport. The plan establishes a vision along with goals, objectives and action plans in eight key areas to promote orderly growth and development, job creation and the protection of community assets.
The updates the Eureka Valley Special Planning Area of the 2003 Manhattan Urban Area Comprehensive Plan and analyzes how realignment of K-18 may affect future growth and development patterns; identifies challenges and opportunities for economic development; identifies how municipal utility services and access will be provided; and addresses intergovernmental coordination.
Flint Hills Joint Land Use Study (JLUS)
The Flint Hills Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) is the outcome of a collaborative planning effort among the local governments of Clay, Geary and Riley Counties; the cities of Grandview Plaza, Junction city, Manhattan, Milford, Ogden, Wakefield and Riley; and Fort Riley representatives.
The Gateway Plan is an update of the Riley County Comprehensive Plan.
Manhattan Urban Area Plan and Manhattan Area Transportation Strategy (MATS)
The Manhattan Urban Area Comprehensive Plan and MATS was developed in a joint planning initiative by the City of Manhattan and Riley County.
Vision 2025 Comprehensive Plan
The Vision 2025 Comprehensive Plan serves as a general policy guide for future development within the unincorporated areas of Riley County.
Wildcat Creek Floodplain Management Plan
The Wildcat Creek Floodplain Management Plan is a summary of efforts and products of the Wildcat Creek Watershed Working Group. The plan provides guidance for managing and reducing flood hazards along Wildcat Creek and for maintaining and enhancing natural floodplain assets and related land resources within the floodplain.
